Merino. Three colourways.
We want a substantial merino sock with a quality feel, made in the UK through UK suppliers. The emphasis is on warmth, comfort and a satisfying weight.
Charcoal, grey and green. Thick merino walking socks with targeted cushioning and a black woven label folded over the cuff edge, carrying the white Barghest wordmark. Final knit structure, fit and dimensions will be agreed through sampling.
Construction & materials.
Merino-led, thick and substantial. Please recommend yarn quality, fibre fineness and any blend needed for wear, stretch and recovery. Merino percentage, yarn count and finished weight are to be agreed.
KNIT & COMFORT
Dense merino knit with cushioning at the heel, sole, ball and toes, plus shin padding. Include a supportive arch, shaped heel, smooth toe seam and a cuff that stays comfortably in place. Confirm cushioning density and performance through wear samples.
FIT & SIZING
Please propose the size range, foot fit, leg height and grading. We want a practical outdoor sock; exact dimensions and tolerances are not yet fixed.
Branding & colour.
Charcoal, grey and green, with no decorative patterns. A black woven label folds over the top cuff edge, with the white Barghest script on its outer face. Agree label size, fixing and comfort through sampling.
UK PRODUCTION
UK suppliers and UK manufacture are required. Please identify knitting and finishing locations, yarn sourcing and raw fibre origin. Merino may originate overseas.
CARE & PERFORMANCE
Please propose suitable wash and wear checks covering shrinkage, abrasion, pilling, colourfastness and recovery. Care instructions and performance statements will follow agreed materials and testing.
Packaging.
A folded pair held in a black cardboard sleeve, leaving the knit and cuff label visible. Minimal white Barghest branding and a small Merino walking socks line on the front.
Please recommend a practical format for brand, size, composition, care and origin information. Paper stock, print, dimensions and exact wording are to be confirmed.
