Charcoal British wool across the crown and upper visor, with matching charcoal moleskin underneath. The texture changes; the colour stays quiet.
Charcoal British wool. Six panels. No ventilation holes or eyelets.
The same charcoal wool as the crown, over a curved visor.

Six-panel crown and curved visor. No crown vents or ventilation eyelets. A brass adjustment buckle sits on the strap beneath the rear opening. The free end tucks into the concealed crown channel at the same bound seam where the underlying strap emerges, with no separate entry hole. Plain fabric and restrained branding.
Barghest will source the fabrics. A local UK business will make the caps. Before sampling, please confirm fabric suitability, consumption and any interfacing or stabilisation needed for the two materials.
Head-size range and adjustment range; crown height and panel pattern; visor dimensions, curve and core; fabric weights; lining, sweatband and seam finish; thread, stitch lengths and topstitching; rear opening, strap material and width; channel length and clearance; buckle dimensions, threading, grip and attachment.
These visualisations show the design direction and material placement. Final dimensions and construction will be agreed through sampling.
Both caps use the Barghest brass buckle at the rear adjustment. Use the supplied component render below as the reference for the hardware design.
Make a working strap-and-buckle sample to confirm orientation, anchoring, threading and reliable grip with each fabric. Match the strap width and thickness to the two-slot hardware, then test the full adjustment range and tuck-away channel. The brass tone shown is indicative; the physical finish sample will establish the final appearance.
Each cap is intended to arrive in a black canvas drawstring bag, with a small brass Barghest badge riveted to the lower half. The packaging should feel useful and worth keeping.
Please propose canvas weight, bag dimensions, drawcord construction, labelling and rivet reinforcement. Consider the cap’s shape, handling and protection in transit.
A rounded rectangular brass plate with raised lettering, fixed through its two end holes with matching brass rivets. Position the badge centrally across the lower half of the bag. Specify rivets suitable for the canvas thickness, with smooth backing and no sharp contact points.
The metal tone shown is indicative. Final alloy, plating or finishing, dimensions and attachment method are subject to sampling.
Please share your UK manufacturing capabilities, relevant cap-making work, sampling costs and timing, minimum quantities and production lead times. We will agree the final construction and discreet internal composition, origin and care labels together.
